Postanowiłem stopniowo uzupełniać blog co ciekawszymi materiałami zebranymi w roku ubiegłym a prezentowanymi już w dokumentacji na wystawie – dzisiaj: Pink Lakes – a więc: są na naszej planecie prawdziwe różowe jeziora. Najsłynniejsze znajdują się w Senegalu (Retba Lake) i w Australii (w okolicach Meningie). Za różowy kolor odpowiedzialny jest czerwony pigment (Beta-karoten) obecny w aldze Dunaliella Salina. Inna natywna a równie wytrzymała na wysokie zasolenie wód jest jej siostrzyczka Micronucleus Vaginatus. Różowe jeziora i laguny występują rówież w USA i na Jukatanie w Mexyku. Mini esej na ich temat specjanie dla PND! napisały dwie biolożki z uniwersytetu w Austin: Laura Gonzalez i Laura Torrentera. W kontekście sztuki warto wspomnieć Spiral Jetty Roberta Smithsona zrealizowaną w Wielkim Słonym Jeziorze w Utah. ////// Me decidí a completar este blog con algunos materiales recolectados en ano pasado y ya una ves presentados en la documentación incluida en display en previas exposiciones PND! Hoy: Pink Lakes – así que: en nuestra planeta si existen verdaderos lagos rosas. Los mas famosos se ubican en Senegal (Retba Lake) y en Australia (cerca de Meningie). El color se debe al pigmento rojo (Beta-caroteno) de la alga Dunaliella Salina. Otra nativa y aguantadora habitante de aguas altamente saladas es su hermanita Micronucleus Vaginatus. Los lagos y lagunas rosas hay también en Estados Unidos y en Yucatán en México. Un mini ensayo sobre estas prepararon especialmente para PND! dos biólogas de la Universidad de Austin: Laura González y Laura Torrentera. En el contexto de arte vale la pena recordar Spiral Jetty de Robert Smithson realizado dentro del Gran Lago Salado en Utah. ////// I decided to complete this blog with some materials from previous research presented already in the book displayed on the exhibition – today: Pink Lakes – so: They do exist real pink lakes on our planet. Mini-essay on this subject was prepared specially for PND! by two biologists from Austin University: Laura Gonzalez and Laura Torrentera. In the context of art it’s worth to mention Robert Smithson Spiral Jetty located in Great Salt Lake in Utah.
